How to make a Bowyers Knot

We get asked for advice on this regularly, so we have created a simple guide to forming your own Bowyers Knot. With practice this will become easy to master.

	Form Loop as shown
	Feed tail of string through loop once against the direction of the laying in, study photo!
	And again feed tail through the loop
	And again...
	Reform loop by tightening the original loop as shown and pass tail under the loop
	Close up of completed knot
	Knot fitted to bow, note that the free end of the string is trapped under the loop where the knot will be tightened as the bow is braced. If tied correctly this know should not slip
